I have been offered a complete set of near new GT3 brake calipers, discs, pads and brake lines for a really hot price. My brakes as they are seem fine for my use BUT I'm very tempted.
I could put my brakes up for sale and reap some of the cost. Is this a good idea?

Kevin from UMW said I will need 997TT front rotors as the GT3 ones will not fit . I'll get more info.

Yes 350mm same as what I just fitted with spacers so i can run the standard 996T calipers.
I dont think you need the spacers with GT3 calipers though not really sure.
Pelican has a range of 350mm disc options in the 997T brake section.
Hound or krazy or anyone else who knows much about this than I hopefully will chime in and point you in the right direction.
Put them in the cupboard and fit once your current rotors have worn out.

from what i understand the gt3 front rotors won't fit a turbo unless the front spindles are changed. the rotor hat offset is to narrow for the angled spindles of a turbo. check and confirm before buying
btw you can get turbo calipers and rotors that fit without modification for not much more than the 2500$. 997 turbo is an upgrade and direct fit

you can reuse the rear turbo calipers and add a 10mm spacer and longer mount bolts. i think john may even have a set. then 350mm rotors front and rear from pelican for cheap or giro disc for about 2200$ 6 piston fronts, pads and your golden. all the brakes a street car will ever need.

of course I'm sure you know that for a street car or just about any car that isn't driven at pwdrhounds level the factory 4 pot f/r is more than enough brakes for the car at most any power level with the right rotors and pads. of course the 6/4 has more bling (and mine were free so i jumped on them) but i would be hard pressed to pay for a caliper upgrade unless its a serious track rat.
