besides Fred's set up, anyone know what's good/new out there? brand?

looking for the mod for my coming Elise...

i like my pioneer nav... never really had a trouble with it...
and now they're offering a touch screen...

Touch screens are nice in one respect but they suck in the fact that the fingerprints get all over the screen!

another vote for ALPINE

EDIT: Just saw it's for an Elise. I hope you realize that basically anything you put in is gonna sound like crap. Also the cockpit is very tight side-side. For the Fed car the stereo is being relocated to the center of the car and will probably be somewhat blocked by the steering wheel or at the very least the screen is going to be on top of you. I guess i really don't see the point of it in that car. I'm not sure if there's a point to have a radio at all.

I have had both Alpine and Kenwood. You can't go wrong with either.

Although it is not as good as Pioneer, or Kenwood, or Alpine. The Garmin units are nice peices.

but i like it more than a remote control..hahaha...b/c on the turbo, i can't find a place to put my remote at all...
