2 years ago I bought it. Yup quality is going down fast. What I like about the Kline inconel is it weighs with cats only 13.6 pounds and is lighter then titanium .

Inconel is better than titanium, aluminum or steel for exhausts, as it resists cracking, flaking, oxidization, etc... that the other metals can succumb to.

I just read about inconel on Klines website. From everything else I've heard, you can't go wrong with Kline.

I'd be interested in checking out one of these and might peruse Ali but the Unobtanium exhaust is art I swear.
Chris at UW is making an Inconel 3" exhaust for me as we speak. It will basically be the same as the Stainless Steel UW exhausts I have now. Cats will be large 5.2" HJS 100 cell race cats with included bypass resonators for track use. Anti drone pipes will be used just like on my current version.

My last exhaust before I got myself an Unobtainium (incredible system!) this year was an AP just like the one shown. I had the exhaust for two years, it was a great all around exhaust with no fitment issues and no cracks during my ownership. (Street car, not tracked) I found it to be very civilized under light load with a great sound once you pinned it, especially after I removed the cats. Like previously mentioned though I highly recommend you americans look at the UW exhausts here in Canada with your additional dollar value these days. For the money it can't be beat!

I don't think Chris at UW started on it yet. We just finalized everything last week. I'll post up pics as they come in. From a durability and weight standpoint, Inconel can not be beat. We looked at Ti but decided it would likely not stand up long term to my type of abuse, hence the decision to go with Inconel instead.

Yes, Chris built that Titanium exhaust as a show piece to mount on the wall. The welding is very impressive. I have not decided if I will sell the UW SS exhaust I have or keep it as a spare. If I decide to sell it, you get first dibs Steve. I've driven and sold many exhausts and the UW quad tip SS is just plain bad ***. Totally free flowing tip to tail 3" exhaust that sounds like an angry Cup car. You will never want to turn on the radio in the car again. Raw, spine tingling, yet civil inside without a hint of drone, even less than my old RUF and on par or better that a stock exhaust. The anti drone pipes just plain work. If you have the patience to wait and don't mind spending a bit of coin, UW is the way to go. I am curious to see how Inconel will change the sound of the exhaust. I would imagine it will be slightly higher pitched compared to the SS. My main goal of going with Inconel was weight saving and long term durability. Sorry for thread jacking the OPs post. My apologies..

One thing I was told about Ti vs stainless was that the sound would be a little tinny, the metal is thinner I guess? I'll be interested to hear how the iconel works out for sure. Are you simply switching for weight? Is this to offset intercoolers?

Yes, mainly weight. It should be 15-20lbs lighter than the SS system. That's all weight removed from the very rear of the car. The aerospace ICs should only be about 5-6lbs heavier than the 7.2s for the pair so it will offset that and then some.

UW is very nice stuff, not sure why they use so many pie-cuts vs. mandrel bent pieces where possible, but the welds are beauty, Canadian craftsmanship
John, do you know what your 3" SS/INCO 3" weighs? Why run cats?
Cheers,
Rob

His bends aren't standard, he can't buy prebent pieces and he's not mandrel bending in-house as best I can tell.

had another look at UW's exhaust after I wrote that, looks like the SS uses mandrel pieces and the Ti is pie-cut, makes sense now.
Cheers,
Rob

Yup, exactly right. My stainless exhaust has no pie cuts at all! The Ti stuff is drool worthy but I didn't spend the coin, sometimes regret it :-)
