Camber Plate Bushing Recommendations
#16
Yes sir, had them on about a year and a half now, kein problem! Just had a fresh alignment the other day too.

I've decided to go with the basic bushing replacement. I'll let everyone know how it goes. I figured it was cheap enough that I could always do something else if I wasn't happy.

Steve, are you going to be doing the work yourself? It would be pretty cool if you could take some pics along the way. I know a lot of guys get stuck deciding which way to go regarding the camber plates when upgrading suspension. If replacing the bushings isn't too much of a pain, based on the much lower price it could make decision much easier.

You can find them for about 220 shipped each if you search around hard enough. I believe Part numbers are: 996 343 015 04 and 996 343 016 04

Steve, I completely missed your post #14 where you outlined the 3 choices. My bad. Can't wait to see the results.

I know Steve / OP has decided to replace the bushings so this won't apply to him.
Just wanted to point out that for anyone that decides to go with aftermarket camber plates. You should confirm with the manufacturer what other oem parts you will still need to reuse and or purchase replacements. I had spoken to Elephant regarding their camber plates a while back and you do need to use oem top bearings. These bearings are known to go bad so you should most likely buy 2 of them. Part# 996-343-501-00
Pics below are from my H&R Coilover notes (same installation as PSS10) thread here at 6SO...if you look at what I labled "bearing holder/bearing assembly" the new oem bearing is what you see on top.
If you look at my pic underneath you can see the two other oem parts that make up this bearing assembly. Chuck at Elephant told me you will not be using the rubber bushing with their camber plates but I would confirm regarding the metal holder (my guess is that it would not be used either). But you do need the oem bearings.
(notice in my pic it says "rubber cover must be used, that is with H&R coilovers & PSS10 with stock camber plates)
