996tt rear axle vibration during acceleration
Hello!
I don't know if this had been discussed before, but I couldn't find anything on this. On my 2002 996tt X50 (tiptronic, converted to RWD, front axle removed completely) I experience vibration in my rear axle during moderate/hard acceleration. Vibration *only* happens while the gas pedal is pressed. Once I step off it and let the car roll, the vibration immediately ceases. Hit the gas once more, feel the vibration again.
This is obviously not a case of poor wheel balancing (although it feels exactly like it!) since something happens ONLY while the engine is trying to accelerate the car.
The tech people can't give me any particular reasons, they tell me everything looks ok.
Any ideas what could be causing this, please? Could this be, maybe, CV joints in the axles that are sort of warping under load? (All I could think of just off the top of my head).
Oh, and I think (but not sure), this does not happen *right* after I drive out of my garage. I *think* it's ok while the most of the car (not the engine I mean!) is cold, but after a minute of aggressive driving I can feel it and it does not stop.
thanks!
