Stevo, They look awesome!!!

I really like the OZs, and for $1800-ish per set, they would be a great setup, but I'd heard so much negative over the years, and SEEN wheels fail at the track, from various manufacturers, that I had the thought of Cast wheels being a NO NO... I have a cast set on the Porsche now, for street wheels, from Victor Equipment, but I'd like to get something very durable, and reasonably light. The CCWs are absolutely GREAT race proven wheels... I'll probably go that route... But after reading Martin's link on cast wheels, I'll have to do a bit more research on the subject.

Depends what you are doing with the car.. The 19's transformed the way the car looked, really great especially when slammed.. BUT, they were lightweight/forged and still hated the way the car handled with them, night and day to the stock 18" hollowspoke twist wheels.. Again, I attribute a lot to the terrible Toyo T1R tires as far as feel, but for my GT2? You can get the 19's to drive around town with, and switch to 18's for your performance/track work, easy solution.. But no, I would never run 19's again as it ruins the feel for me even driving around town..

There is a thread over on Pistonheads about Ruf that you may want to check out

Im going to hold out for some 04 GT2 wheels, RG5's or BBS Racing.

Definitely staying with 18's.
I would say go with some BBS e88's (still bang my head that I sold them) or CCW's, can't go wrong!

BTW what link on Pistonheads? Link me please, I don't really go on there and tired to find it but couldn't!

BUSINESS, I had a set of CCW's and the powdercoating wore off... But I heard they fixed that, will get another set I think though..

Check out these threads in regards to the OZ's.. Email from manufacturer said they were built for the track, damon pressure tested them and so on.. They look A= Okay to me, but I decided against them anyway after seeing them on some car's.. I'll just get another set of BBS E88's and or a set of CCW's.. Depending on whether I can find a damn set of E88's for my car! I bought a set at VIR from Gary Church (Magnesiums, e28?) but they were the wrong offsets without spacers

Okay, I've got a question since it was mentioned just a minute ago and I'm a newbie. My next upgrade is suspension/wheels. I've been looking at the HRE's 19" that look similar to the GT2's. Is it wrong to get 19" vs 18"? Also, HRE's are very expensive. Do I need to just go ahead and get the stock Porsche GT2's stuff? I'm only going for minor power mods and will be just a street driver on weekends. Thanks, in advance, for your advice.

The wheels I got are in Titanium Tech, thats the "normal" paint. Looks like a dark grey, so I think it will match well to my silver car.

What tires are you going with and what size?

I've found that the 12" rears really limit the availability of well priced tires for every day use. I think these wheels only come in 10" otherwide, and thsts too narrow for the turbo.

I'm going to use the stock tires, 235/40 in front and 315/30 in the rear. I just take them over from the original rims. I have Michelin PS2 on now...

Nice white walls. Looks like the wheels that my grandfather had on his caddy back in the day. .
