lightguy is infamous around these parts
IMO the BEST wheel is Volk RE30.
There are more expensive ones, flashier ones, none better.
Dont know if its made for Porsche GT2

that's the lightest and strongest of the volk line. None spec'd for porsche but provided the offset is high enough, spacers to adjust for bolt pattern/hub is possible.

te37s come in 18" not specifically for the gt2, but does have application for the 996TT.

Any other options anyone? Looking to buy track wheels to use for Redline Time Attack season, same size as GT2 (or 1/2 inch wider), and most of all I look for appr 10lbs lighter than OEM per wheel.

Vendors / board sponsors / anyone have a wheel deal for 6speed racers 2010?

I decided to try the OZ setup from Damon at Tirerack. Here's what I went with for my Track setup:

2 P315/30ZR-18 Hoosier R6 LL
2 P245/35ZR-18 Hoosier R6 LL
2 18x8.5 O.Z. Alleggerita HLT Anthracite
2 18x12 O.Z. Alleggerita HLT Anthracite

Tires were ordered heat cycled already.

I have a Laguna event coming up over this Weekend and Monday (Jan 30th, 31st and Feb 1st), so I'll get back with my opinions on how the wheels and tires perform. I have used Hoosiers for the last 15 years or so and I already know the characteristics of the R6 pretty well, since I ran them on my Z06 for track days as well, but the wheels should help the Car steer better and I'm hoping to feel a difference in braking as well. Given that I'm running the PCCB's with Porsche Motorsports Green compound pads (Pagid Greens) on the track, this should be about as light an unsprung weight setup as is technically possible.

Cool! Since my car is visually almost a twin of yours (apart from brake calipers) I'd be stoked to see some pics as well (although that's very sub-ordinate for my purpose it's still interesting) added to the impressions from the weight loss.

I'll take plenty of pictures from Laguna and post some of the Car/Wheel combo.

Those are just gorgeous wheels.. Stunning. I'm not sure if you have already sent me a P.M. on pricing, but give me your best quote, as I am interested.. 2003 Porsche GT2 with PCCB's..

P.S. What color are the wheels on the Silver Car?
