Question DIY- Fitting Sports Seats Guide??

I currently have some (jammed) comfort seats in my 996tt with memory and heat function.

Ive just picked up Pindi's GT3 Hard backed sports seats to fit which don't have heat or memory function.

Am I going to have difficulty with the connectors at the bottom of the seat? Or is it simply a plug in and go job?

Can anyone help?

And Yes I have tried searching.

manual sliders? if yes then remove the battery cable. then remove your seats. take the seat belt recepticle off the seats and reinstall them to the connector and secure with tie wraps. bolt the recepticle to the new seat bases and you should be golden

what i did to clean things up a bit more was to buy a boxster floor panel that houses the front and rear trunk switches. they have no power memory buttons so it cleans it up nicely. looks like the seats were meant to be there. about 25$

What about the electrical connectors under the seat are they plug in a play? i heard the memory function means you have to splice something to something- see link

Also do you have a pic of this boxster panel so I know exactly what your talking about.

Thanks again for your input in the past 32!

I'm in a similar boat as Recaro sport topline seats with Recaro manual sliders and floor mounts will be arriving tomorrow. Not sure if my 996T electrical connection will snap into the Recaro seat connection without modifying. I'm glad to see my original "comfort" seats go.

The install of the Recaro sport topline seats took almost a day to install as it is a tight fit and I had trouble contorting myself inside the car. The seats are a big improvement over the stock comfort seats.
After following all the diy instructions of keeping the battery disconnected during the install I still have the airbag light on. Durametric will turn it off but it then comes right back on.
Is a dealer visit the only way to get the airbag light off?
Now I have a square piece of black tape over the airbag light that works ok.
The seat belt electrical connecters were connected back in the oem harness but I had to splice the Recaro power harness quick connect end into the OEM seat power connection.
Thanks
