Steve,
You can mount the horn buttons or other switches/buttons directly on a CF plate that is sandwiched between the wheel and the hub or QD. PMNA sells a plate you see in the picture below but it's priced at almost $1000. You can get them from multiple sources like MOMO (about $100) or on ebay for a few bucks. You can naturally make your own from a small sheet of CF plate that costs a few bucks.

I would take your instrument cluster cover to an automotive upholstery shop and have them cover it matching alcantara. That would look sweet. That's how my car is done.

i would rather send the wheel to dct and have it wrapped in leather!

john do you have a flat bottom in your car? i wonder how it looks compared to the age of the car. strangely enough im drawn to a round nardi wheel but keep coming back to this wheel.

I can get pics in about a week as we are installing my set up then. I am using a 997Cup wheel which is not flat bottom but is the same size as the 991Cup wheel. The 997Cup wheel has an OMP logo in the center instead of the Porsche logo. The 991Cup wheel is prettier in my opinion and figured it would appeal to more people. The flat bottom is a good feature for tall guys as it gives you more knee room and if not using a QD makes egress easier in case of a bad accident especially if using deep bucked race seats. I'm 5'10" and using a QD so the flat bottom feature does not have much benefit for me.

Hmmm thats not a bad idea what do you think it would cost? I have to install a new windshield so maybe i can do this.

It should not be much, $150-200 tops is what I'd guess. It's rather simple to recover the cluster bubble. If you're handy you could just buy 2 square feet of Alcantara and a can of 3M contact spray adhesive. All you need is a heat gun and a little skill and patience. I've covered various interior pieces in leather and alcantara and it's simple.
