P0203 Porsche Fault Code 154 - Injector circ. cyl. 3

Three mornings in a row my car has run on five cylinders throwing Fault code "P0203 Porsche Fault Code 154 - Injector circuit cylinder 3" (Durametric lingo), with corresponding P0300 and P0303.
After the engine has warmed up the car starts running fine (including 230 miles on Sebring yesterday). I am in FL so "cold start" is a relative term.

I am running 70 lb injectors and Evolution Motorsports GT 660 tune with no recent issues. I did kill the battery with the lights recently and recharged it with a charger. The voltage meter acts normally.

Can someone please provide guidance for what the problem is?

Does this code happen when you are at WOT? sounds like a cam bracket, variocam or coil packs.

Its not a bad injector.

First I'd advise you to replace the battery. Lead/acid batteries do not like being fully discharged. While you are able to resurrect the battery with a charge it is not as good as it was before. Wihle I don't think the battery is the cause of the symptoms a weak battery can cause other problems.

Next I'd check that for injector indiciated by the error code that its connector is secure. It may help to disconnect the connector then make the connection again and be sure the connector is secure.

If the error appears again it points to a bad injector.

First answering 996tt550hp: It happens at all rpm's and throttle postions until it goes away. Then it runs fine.
Macster: The battery is relatively new; I just managed to leave the ignition on overnight. Let me check my connectors on fuel injector on cylinder #3.

When does it go away? You might have a bad coil..... What coils do you have on there? Have you updated to the 997 coils? When was the last time you changed them?

I am not sure what coils are on there, likely meaning they are stock. As fa as I can recall they have been replaced once.
I will check on both coils and connections. Is it common to change to 997 coils?

If you have 997 coils no they should last a long time.
