Back in a Turbo
After a year full of regret I am back in a Turbo.
I like to change my cars up quite frequently as my mind generally wanders and there are alot of good cars out there that I want to own at least once in my life...with that there are only a few cars that I really wish I hadnt gotten rid of - not that I wouldnt sell them again given the situation but more of the fact that it was a great car and wish I still had one in the stable.
The only 2 cars that really made me feel this way were my 64 C10 I sold 2 years ago and my last 996tt I sold last July.
My last 996tt was a 2002 X50 Aerokit car fully tuned, coilovers, etc. Made ~550 to the wheels according to PO's dyno sheets - was the scariest car I had ever owned.
I sold that car last July as I simply drove the car too much - put over 10k miles on it in 10 months - took it everywhere - loved it but knew I would lose my shirt on it if I kept tacking on miles - so I sold it.
Pic for those who didnt see the last one:
Fast-forward to about 2 months ago I decided I was going to find a car that I didnt mind putting a bunch of miles on, would track without care - no garage queens etc..something I would call a keeper and had to be modded similar to the one I had before. Lucky enough a forum member here sent me a PM about his car and it turned out to be perfect for my needs and ended up being a great guy to deal with
Enough with the rambling here are the specs:
2003 996tt X-50 package - 147k MSRP
47k miles
Markski k16 billet turbos (k24 "x50" turbos were sold by PO)
Markski 3.5" Intercoolers
Upgraded Injectors, Boost Hoses, and Diverter Valves
Markski Tune made 550 whp
Full Interior Carbon - I mean everything
OEM GT2 Rear Deck
JRZ RS Coilovers
Rear Sway Bar
Tarret End Links
Carbon Ceramic Brakes
Freshly Refinished HRE's
This car is faster than the other one - scary as hell.
and a few shots...
Excited to be back - looking to get this on the track soon; I have a set of steel rotors to use and will look to find a set of 18's in the near future.
Cheers
