997Cup steering wheel install....

The Rothsport hub is 2" if I recall. If using the Rothsport hub you need the QD to get correct spacing. Without a QD you'd need to use the longer Momo hub. I highly recommend the QD however. Even if you don't want to mess with the wiring, I'd install the factory 997Cup QD which does dot have the connector. It's also cheaper at $500.
Here is the distance of my set up. It places the wheel about 3/4" closer to the driver than OEM for a more appropriate track driving position. That's with one 20mm spacer machined down to 10mm. If both were machined to 10mm the wheel would be close to stock. I'm 5'10".
Steve's set up as shown above will have the wheel about 1.25" closer than stock. Keep in mind that the closer you place the wheel the longer away the turn signals will be. About 1" or so is still comfortable for normal hands.

I don't have any of the 90º pieces left Steve. I got them from my race shop. I'll find out where they got them from. I'll be there on Tuesday.

The horn buttons are the red buttons on the 997Cup wheel. The buttons on the CF plate are the MoTec control buttons.

...last question on this - what is everyone using to bypass the airbag light on aftermarket wheels now? Resistor or is there still a Porsche part that they use on the cup cars? (read that in another forum but wasnt 996 specific.)

Simple resistor does the trick...
