Rennkit - Spoiler hydraulic solution

Hey guys.. New to the 996 Turbo scene. Just bought an 01 996TT, going into it I knew it had the dreaded Spoiler leaking/pump issue. Trying to decide if I should fix or work my way around it, and I saw this website.

http://rennkit.com/product-info/

Has anyone tried there kit? Im trying to see if this is better solution than going with a Fixed wing kit.

About 75 eRam kits around the world and a lot of enthusiastic owners. Latest report is from a 997 TT owner that does 200 MPH pulls. He has a 3" eRam Kit. Maybe a few owners will chime in on this thread.

Try the stop leak fix first. Pretty simple job. If that fails you then you can go electric later.

Talking

I just bought Dave's 4" kit after messing with repairs to the pump for a couple of years which would work for quite awhile then fail which I finally got sick of.

Haven't installed it yet as I'm still in hospital but as soon as I'm out in a week or two its going to be the first thing I do. I'll be posting a thread of the install process in my usual straight to the point Australian manner.

Cheers,
Tim

Hopefully the hospital visit isn't serious. I can't wait to hear about your installation.. I spoke to Dave about the kit.. I got some measuring to do on my car to make sure it clears the protomotive hardpipes.. but im very interested in the 3" kit..

cheers mate!

I was one of the beta testers for Dave on my 996 Turbo, can't say enough good things about the him! Always answering questions and following up on how things were going. Once the ones on my 997 Turbo go out, I will definitely be replacing it with his kit. Even the new owner of my previous 996 Turbo is happy with the setup.

Tim, do contact me if you have any questions! After 75 installs, I have plenty of experience. How did it work out with customs?

Thanks Dave if I do I will however the in depth instructions I received should be more than sufficient.

The Rams arrived in Australia on the 13th and has been processed through a facility. It doesn't say which facility.

Hopefully I wont occur any extra taxes, what value did you place on the shipping documents?

100% satisfied

Works perfectly and it's something I don't have to worry about ever fixing again. Installation instructions are exhaustive and you won't be disappointed. Also a happy beta customer, KH

Hi, I installed a 4" kit earlier this year. The system works flawlessly when driving! No more worrying about spoiler control failures, leaky fluid, or uneven activation. Instructions were detailed and Dave was very helpful during the installation process - which went smoothly. Happy customer here - much better in my mind to have a permanent fix.
