996oil drip tank

While attempting to remove the oil drip tank from the driver side turbo, the bolt that is inside the tank is stuck and I broke off the tip of my wrench in it, should I drill it out? I was afraid of leaving shavings in there and I absolutely can't find a used one and I can't just cut the turbo off because I have to send it back as a core charge. Any suggestions?

Unless the allen socket twisted and jammed up in the bolt, you can probably get the broken bit out by blowing compressed air to it, or tapping gently with a ratchet extension.

no need to worry about metal in the tank. if you can get a reverse drill bit in there drill it out. once the bolt is out and the tank is removed you can flush it out with any number of cleaners.

We tried drilling it out but that bolt head is made of some major tough compound. Ultimately the turbo broke and the bolt came out. I lost one turbo but at least saved the drip tank, man those are impossible to find.

It did, the wrench broke off in the bolt head.
