Yeah thats a lot of torque on a stock motor those turbos are rod breakers. Becareful....... i would lower your torque its way to high.

Great numbers tho.

That was not my final Dyno the way we have it currently set is 675 torque. 575hp. I was not given the final dyno sheet. Torque was turned down a little bit to preserve the rods.
The best mod was the Klein exhaust from Sambo. Running catless really helped.

On fast spooling turbos even with the torque turned down a bit you will bend those rods

As long as the tune is right, the rods are fine.
The rods bend because of detonation from and improper tune.
Aftermarket rods are stronger and can take more abuse from detonation, but keep the tune right and stock rods will be fine.

Torque bends rods , no matter how good your tune is ! And when you small hard hitting turbos the chances of that happening go up even more..
He is at the limit of the stock rods.

Ask me how I know . And of course aftermarket rods will handle the extra torque .put a set of carillos in and be done with it

Just make sure you are at a bit higher RPM before you floor it. I would hate for you to join me in the blown motor club.

Glad you are loving the Kline!

Rear wheel or all wheel? That makes a difference. And what type of dyno?

Otherwise Todd K. knows what's up

Congrats! That's a very good curve you have there. As you can see below, it's very similar to my dyno curve on K16s with a stock block on 91 octane / 1.2 bar. Through tuning we limited low end torque to 630 ft.lbs to protect the stock rods. I ran the engine like this for 30+ track hours without any issues prior to rebuilding it.

Quick question out of curiosity. Do you know why your Proto K16s HP curve drops off quite significantly after 6000rpm? Is it because of tuning or inherent due to the design of the Proto K16s causing them to run out of steam up top? Is that typical of all off the shelf k16 billets? Are your housings ported to increase flow on the turbine side? The reason I ask is is that I didn't see that drop off past 6k on my K16s. My K16s on the stock block increased HP all the way to the 7200 redline where it peaked. After the engine was rebuilt with rods and other parts the HP curve continued to rise further to the 7500 cut off. With better rods were were also able to shift the TQ curve 500 rpm left to 670+ ft.lbs at 4000rpm.

K16s on stock block, 91 octane, 1.2 bar, RUF intake and exhaust w/100 cell cats, OEM ported headers

No your rods will bend if you keep that torque that high. Your graph shows the torque coming in real fast so lower the torque around high 500s and easy it in there. Bent rod = 20k bill.

The answers above are all correct. I used to floor my car around 4k and up in high gears to keep my rods safe.

Cylinder pressure shows up as torque, too much and you've got pretzels. I'd knock that down too and I'd be careful in gears above 4th as the trans might not be real happy at that level either. My tune does boost by gear and lowers it in 5th and 6th some.
