They general shape is nice IMO (although I still prefer larger, bowed out fenders vs flares that just extend the wheel well, as I posted above). While the shape is nice, what's with the vents at the back of the rear wheels? And you could attach all 4 flares on a 993 GT2 wither the screws from just one of these flares. Way too busy...

Looks like the JTmode flares. Probably less about the flares and more about how bad the soft top and ducktail look imo.

They actually look like the custom ones I had blended into my race car flares to fit 13". On the Porsche a sharper/flatter flare like that might work on the front Click image for larger version

Which takes us full circle. Pwdrhound saw some pics I had posted on mounting the 7 GT2RS flares and asked me about the feasibility of using these flares on a 6. After laying these flares on a 6 fender and seeing that they are made of PU, I suggested it might be easier just to get custom flares made (pics were reposted at the beginning of this thread). If I were to have complete fenders made up, I'd probably tend to go with bulged fenders vs a lip extension (as I was trying to say above). Sort of a coke-bottle shape for the 6tt. That provides much more room for the tire too - especially up front. Sort of like a milder version of this which is just blended-in RSR bits:

Who's going/willing to make a demo about the feasibility of this?

Just to let you guys know, the fender project was dropped as I was able to fit 18x10x13 wheels with 275/335 tires without having to resort to hacking up the car. Thanks for all those that emailed with interest. If anyone is interested in flares, contact RUF as they make them. They are for a 996 GT3 so the front is a direct bolt on while the rear would need some modding as it's designed for a narrow body 6. They only sell it as a set at 4K Euro. Not cheap but quality is typical RUF which is to say fit is OEM. As with any functional flares, fenders still obviously need to be cut and templates are provided.

That seems to be the right spot with the 275/335s I ran some RAs that size I had laying around with stickers on them. Best the car has felt on the track. I probably got away with it because I get my camber from the Tarret plates on top. But I agree if you can run those sizes with stock panels no need to change them. It would be cool though to see what your car would run with a 30/65 31/71 Michelin slick combo

30/65 31/71s would definitely call for major surgery and relocating the inlet ducting and turbos themselves. My plan is to run Pzero 265/645 and 325/660 as those are 25.4 /26.3" tall which is perfect and basically what the car is set up around now. A 315/680 rear would be better but I'd have to run a higher ride height due to the height of the tire. I have some scrub 315/680s that I plan on trial fitting.

Found these on rennlist. This is EXACTLY what I'd want on my car with the flares, and also the fender louvers. Going to call them today to get details.

Link for what exactly? The Thread on Rennlist?

Place that made the louvers is called Vision Motorsports. I didn't get any info on the fender flares as the owner said he sold his composite business. He said he has a few sets of the louvers left over in his office. Price is 750.00 for the pair.

I wouldn't say outrageous. A bit pricey though. It's Carbon Fiber, which is expensive no matter what kind of part it is.
