Question for those with the smaller GT3RS under-drive pulleys

Which belt are you using? The pulley is significantly smaller.

When I bought the bbi pulley off of BHT I requested that he send me the belt also because I was wondering the same thing. Here is the part number off of the belt he sent me:

You need a 997.2 GT3RS belt if you have A/C. Without A/C, you need a 996Cup belt. Buy the OEM belt, not some cheap NAPA belt. My Cup belt is a German Continental belt.

I always buy the continental belts. As for cheap NAPA, i can't imagine they even have it.

Do you have the GT3RS belt part number? I don't have an RS PET. Perhaps the continental part number?

The NAPA reference was a joke. I'm away from my computer. Call any Porsche dealer and parts can get you the #. Tell them you want a serpentine belt for a .2RS

What is the big advantage of the smaller pulley. It's less rotating mass I'm sure but under driving the accessories pull a noticeable difference less power of the engine?

Less rotational mass is my guess. However this is not the reason I am doing this. I am installing the pulley to go with the RS single mass flywheel. Apparently it is fairly common(especially amongst the GT3 crowd) to have the stock steel pulley come off after going with the RS LWFW. And the fix is to pair the RS flywheel with the RS pulley. Apparently it has something to do with the harmonic relationship between the flywheel and the pulley. Honestly I see it as added insurance.

Less rotational mass, less drag, and less wear and tear on your rotational components like the power steering pump. This is a big bonus for cars with engines that spend a majority of their life at high rpms as in track use.

The PS pump overheating and a few extra hp is why I got a pulley

Looks like you can get the belt from NAPA. This came from the EVOMS pulley kit which is the same size as the RS..

I'm in the process of getting this Cup RS belt installed for the same size pulley but NO A/C and NO P/S

Evoms sent a 6PK2258 NAPA brand belt? Was the upper Napa belt for AC and PS with RS pulley? If so, that PN crosses over to a continental.

NAPA belts are made by Gates, who are our usual supplier but sometimes have backorders. It's a good quality part.

For a car running the smaller pulley with P/S and A/C, a 2007 911 GT3RS is a good application listing to look it up under.
