What Should I do??

BBGT2...
Current rumours (those da** things again...can never trust them!!!) is that they will make a 997 GT2 but only "special order for the European market" which does not make sense from a financial perspective, but could if there are issues with DOT approval, etc. So I am not really sure how true the "rumour" is, and I am sure there will be those who could import it if Porsche won't (but will they warranty it in the US or Canada if it is brought in that way??)
A few months back when I "got on the list for a 997TT," I asked if I could get a 997 GT2 instead...I just got a frown from my dealer.
I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I am just wondering if I shoult trade the 05 TTs for the GT2 or just wait for the 997TT coming this summer..

Definitely go for the GT2.
How much did the dealer want in cash to trade for your 05' TT? My guess would have been at least $20k unless I am underestimating the trade in value of your TT. What is the MSRP of your car?
Good luck!

I am stickered at 136K. At first he wanted like 20K plus my car!! I thought that was crazy!! I offered 10K.. Before I made it to the door he was down to 17K. plus my car..
I love the GT2, but the thought of having a car that is two years older than mine is killing me.
Whats gonna happen in 6 months when I am wanting the 997TT?
m I better off keeping the 05 or going for the GT2??

have a 563 miles GT2 and are very willing to do trade. Maybe the best one around.

You have to always be on your toes driving the GT2 aggressively in the corners while on boost, where in the AWD TT you could drive with one hand on the wheel and not get into trouble.
Personally, the 997TT would not sway me one bit to sell my GT2. It is a very challenging and exciting car to drive.

I think it's crazy to give an 05 and 10 grand, maybe if it was an even swap, even then a huge maybe, you live in NY the weather sucks half the year with ****ty roads, where would you really be able to use/appreciate the GT2? Also be careful and check how much time is left on the warranty (not just miles), you would really feel bad if it went out of warranty in a few months and you had to pay out of pocket for repairs.

They can move TT's all day long only, certain people want a GT2, and there are not an easy sell. I live in Chicago and yes there really isnt that many months that it can be driven but so what I knew that going in. Would I drive my GT2 in the fall and the winter (if it was even driveable)with all the amateurs on the road, Hell NO. I wouldnt even drive a TT when the weather was bad, AWD and PSM included.
There is just something about knowing you have a GT2 and the feeling is like no other. Not trying to de-mean the TT, after all the Gt2 is a derivative of the TT, its just so much more unique, raw and rough around the edges if you will.
Check about the warranty and all other things that trouble you and get them addressed, they have to sell YOU dont have to buy at least not from them.
In the end make sure you are happy and if not walk away, tommorow is another day. I can only say is that you will not regret getting a GT2 if you do.

Thank you so much for the great advise. I have had three other turbos in the past 4 years and this is my fourth..
I love the looks and the rawness of the GT2 and I feel that I am one of those people that know exactly what that car is about..
I just dont want to make a big mistake about getting rid of my car.
I mean the thing is bran new and it is the Porsche that is perfect in my mind.
I think I am bored of the turbo and am looking for that rawness that will really exite me.
IMO, the TTs does everything right and is the car that basically drives itself. I am hoping that the GT2 will enhance the driving experience like my friends Ferrari..
When I drove his 360 from Atlantic City to Long Idland (about 100 miles) I felt so connected with that car that I did not even care about how slow that thing was..
I am looking for more of that rawness like the F car and also the power of the Porsche..
I am just getting the bugs of losing such a great car(TTS) and getting into something else..
