Is there anybody that can tell me how much different the shifting will become with upgraded clutch friction plates. What is the effect of an improved valve body, I suppose it is with different solenoids?

Do the shifts become harsher or is that all still feeled as smooth as the standard tiptronic is a very smooth gearbox by definition.

I got a quote for a standard rebuild (this includes the OEM but state of art transmission parts) and for the option of rebuilding it as a stronger unit and with upgraded valve body and additional cooler.
