Part # on stock plenum?
Anyone know the part number for the stock 996tt plenum? All my search results come back with IPD plenums but not a single thing about stock replacement one. Any help would be great, trying to get a replacement for my cracked one.

Yeah, I was definitely considering doing a 68mm plenum. After reading various good and bad experiences, as well as talking to couple tuners, I decided that my car doesn't need it anytime soon.
My car is fairly stock (exhaust and tune only). From what I been told, gains won't be significant with this setup. I also don't plan on doing any crazy mods in the future, maybe ICs and k24 hybrids.
Ideally 74mm plenum with matching TB would have been my ideal route just not yet.

if your going to do plenum and/or t/b call sean when you look at the k24 hybrids. he has 74mm t/b and a billet plenum for less than ipd plenum alone

Although I wouldn't use their products, IDP has surprisingly good customer support. One of the local guys blew up his engine this past summer when something within the IDP plenum came loose and was inhaled into the engine trashing it. When the local dealer boroscoped the engine and provided proof to IDP, IDP paid for his total engine rebuilt. BBI did the rebuild. He just got the engine back in the car.

Anyways, do you run the plastic stock piece?

Yes, I run the stock plenum. When I had my engine built I spoke with numerous reputable builders and tuners and they all recommended against it for a number of reasons so I stayed with the stock plenum. I do run a larger plenum post MAF and larger turbo intake pipes to free up the pre turbo restriction. The heads are also ported to free up flow on the intake side.

What I didn't "need" was a 74 as I live in mid range canyon conditions so the 68mm IPD works really well.
But if you're even thinking about upgrading in the future and you already have one broken plastic part it seems to me a wise choice to replace it with the IPD. Not withstanding powdrhnds anecdotal report of one being swallowed and mangled in a Caymans jaws! That had to suck!
In any event I am by no means suggesting that IPD's white paper claims of 15% additional horse power are accurate but what I can say with certainty is, that based on my personal experience, there are indeed performance gains for having swapped my plastic own plenum for the IPD.
