Wndering when the build date is of the first cars w/o bumperettes. The front bumperettes seem very rare while the rears seem more common. Anyone know the dates? thx

The '01 model year was like an 18 month build time, if I remember correctly. Something like that. They quit putting the front bumperettes on in .... somewhere around Jan/Fed of '01 I do believe (I believe that is the build date of my car and I do not have them).

Arabelle has bumperettes. Some people get so worked up about them. If you find a smoking deal, for $1k you can get them replaced. Guys had me so scared I planned to do that immediately, but once I had the car realized they're no big deal.

The two cars I was considering at the time were an '01 with extensive desirable options and bumperettes for $69k or a low option '02 with 5k less miles for $80k.

The '01 was certainly the right choice "warts" or not. After I bought the car someone reminded me that all the 993TTs had front bumperettes also.
