Front compartment boot lid difficult to close

Anyone has similar issue & how to fix?😿

I presume there is something wrong with the lock & not likely due to deform of the compartment as the front end looks all right

+1 the rubber stops at the far front corners of the frunklid can be adjusted for height. too high and there will be noticeable gap once closed. too tight upon closure and the button won't sufficiently "pop" and release the catch.
if you're not hearing the mechanism "pop"? then you may have a frunk latch mechanism failure.

first try adjusting the stops.

Check rubber stops adjustments and lube your latch assembly.

Mine was extremely hard to latch when I bought the car. Used some grease in the latch/cable area and it's a one finger job now. I couldn't believe what a difference it made.

Later, Steve

I also had difficulty with the front latch. It actually seized and required substantial disassembly of the front end to access the mechanism. In the end, lubrication and cleaning was the answer, and it has worked well in the three years since that happened.

Ok, just making sure. I've seen way too many try to shut it like a Buick Regal.
