Guys take your y pipe and clean your throttle body out with throttle cleaner its oily which causes this issue. I had this same issue and codes. Make sure you do the throttle adaption after ohh take off the electrical plug on the throttle body before cleaning it and moving it.

A post MAF leak could make some sense, the airflow doesn't match expectations and it thinks the position is wrong, easy enough to check. I'd still suspect the throttle first as e-throttle seem to be pretty picky.

2000 Boxster 986 P1502
My 2000 Boxster roadster with 2.7 is in limp mode. I have a P1502 code
My generic scanner say is it is "fuel pump relay end stage.
I have read where it is a "jacking spring"
Clear the code, the engine smooths out and runs correctly
I have removed the throttle body, cleaned it and reinstalled. Problem remains
I was about ready to order another throttle body and thought I would ask for help from group.
is the throttle body the problem?
If not, where should I look?
If the TB is bad, is it OK to try a used one or an aftermarket TB
Thank you
B

Thank everyone for the posts
I have read everyone's posts and am a bit confused which discussion topics pertain to my Boxster. MY generic scanner only shows code P1502
I cleaned the throttle body a few days ago. It was not very dirty before it was cleaned. I also cleaned the MAF
I will check for air leaks tomorrow.
Is a dirty fuel filter a possible cause?
