That's the impression I was under as well, but when I looked up a GT2 engine I found:

Why does the pipe on the left coming from intercooler look like hard piping and rusted?!?

 

there's no visual difference between the Turbo & GT2 engine on top. in fact they're the same anyways. u can easily tell in the second pic that's a Gee.ba.la wing & PDC sensors on the rear bumper. GT2 doesn't have that. u can also spot the front bumper is a knock off because u don't see the eyelid under the lights. btw, it's dying for a lip.

 

Sunroof and rear wiper too.

 

The engine photo is not the same car as the following car photos. The engine photo car is a Turbo ( and a tiptronic at that) .Car you are querying is definately listed wrongly as a GT2.
Is there a prize for working this out?

 

How can you tell

 

Same engine.

Car is listed as a turbo. 6speed.

 

Apologies, same site different car. Yesterday on same site car was listed as GT2 but was turbo.Looked at a glance to be the same. I just went to have another look and this car was there, stand by comment that this is a turbo in these photos.

 

no glove box either.. which means it's an 01 and unless it's imported from Europe there was no GT2 in the US in 01.
