Well, my car is on it's way to a shop.

When I get a little money, I am going to use Protosport to do my turbokit on the 3.2 Carrera. $15k for the Stage I U/G and an LSD should provide me 400 at the crank...in a car weighing less than 3000 lbs.

Wilber has his differences with Protomotive as do I.
However, their work is quite good and they do build very fast cars. Their software tuning is one of the best you will find anywhere. Even Wilber will admit that.
I don't think the performance is where we have our differences with Protomotive. That's all I will say for now.
Wilber says go for RS Tuning/Cargraphic, I personally like Ruf. Either way, you can't go wrong. With that being said, neither of those companies push the envelope to the same extent as Protomotive when it comes to absolute power.

You all seem to have had bad experiences with Todd Knighton from what I am reading, it might be appropriate to say what they are, and clarify the issues for everybody to read them here to make more informed decisions in the future.
Then if Todd wants to answer publicly at least he will be able to. But this hurts his reputation without any facts being put forward.
Just my opinion, I am personally a very satisfied customer, but maybe there is something I should know.

I have always stuck up for Protomotive and the performance aspect of their tuning systems. However, to say that their systems feel like factory or their customer service is on par with Ruf would be a lie.
They build very fast cars, maybe THE fastest Porsches in a straight line... but just be prepared to be very patient and spend a fair amount of money. I don't think any of that is a lie.

Todd operates out of a farm and is marketing averse (check out his website), someone asked why he moved out of California, well it is because of this.
I had shipped out my broken engine from 10k miles away to them, they built out of it a 3.8 twin plug, pressure sensing Motronic engine with everything customized and ALL internals upgraded...705BHP at 1.1 Bar on engine dyno. The car started at the first try here back home and ran perfectly. I don't know many tuners who can do this on Motronic.
Todd and Cynthia flew to Hockenheim in Germany in order to calibrate further my car on the road and detune it a little as it was too scary to drive at those levels (did not have a boost controller yet), and I needed to run the 'Ring with a milder car. They also were present when I put the car on Manthey Racing' s MAHA chassis dyno. I don't know many tuners that would do this.
No, I did not pay them a dime, it was a free service, and a matter of ownership and pride over their product for them. The full cost of my engine is what many people here pay for bolt-ons to get 700HP that perform like 550.
They are only two, they do not have a staff, and they do not have the resources of RUF, but I have a hard time believing they would let anyone down, they take their creations very personally.
This is just my personal experience with them, I thought I should share it.
