Sportec Exhaust Video

I installed the Sportec exhaust this week, and as promised I took a quick video with sound so you guys could hear what it sounds like.

I think it is a little tighter and higher pitched than most of the popular aftermarket exhausts out there.

What do you think and what would you compare it to?

I think I may actually prefer the higher pitch.

Kev,

This exhaust is made in Switzerland and itis not sold by many dealers in the US. It is just too expensive even though it is probably one of the best aftermarket exhausts available today.

I bought the last unit that the West Coast distributor had in stock and paid less than his cost for the unit because they just wanted to clear them out of inventory. Here is a page out of the manufactures web site giving the price in Swiss Francs

I got a great deal for $ 3,200.00

It's a custom exhaust that we had made here for a few cars, I'll see if I have a video worth posting.

Thanks Bigger Ape

I bought the exhaust from 3T Distributors in the City of Industry in California.

The install went very easy because the catalytic converters lined up perfectly and entire exhaust was a perfect fit. I was pretty amazed that the unit fit in so easily because all the tubing is single piece 76mm in size with no cutting and re-welding of the tubing to make it fit.

Craig pointed out in another thread that it is very difficult to bend and fit 76mm tubing in the limited area of the 911TT exhaust cavity.

Also, another unique feature is that there is a separate exhaust muffler for each exhaust bank and they are both enclosed in a stainless steel chamber. The separate exhaust mufflers provide for better exhaust scavenging and less back pressure and the ss chamber enclosure eliminates resonance. Pretty amazing engineering.
