My new Baby, the Porsche from HELL part 2

Okay, Gang, now that I'm a picture posting genius, here's exterior pics of my new turbo. I've been lurking ever since buying and have made a few posts, but now I'm making an official introduction. I bot this 01TT last May and had a few issues to work out (I'll explain when I post forthcoming thread "My Porsche from HELL part 1")

About a year ago I started being intrigued by Porsches and attribute it to my interest in these cars all the way back when I was in grade school. The business I own has done really well the last few years so I figure it's time to buy something like a really nice car. I thought about a BMW M3, but after a test drive, I knew I wouldn't REALLY be satisfied with it. So I visited the local P-car dealer and drove an 05 997S. Nice car--big price tag, comparatively. Anyway, after a couple months looking into all the 997S options I'm about ready to order one.

And then, a 996 turbo catches my eye. Then I realize, hey, there's a lot a value in a low milage 01-02 996TT. So then I started looking a TT's and couldn't pull the order trigger on the 997. On May 22 I bot this turbo w/ 13k miles. Paid $73k instead of $95k for a new 997S. The car, as most of you know, is amazing.

From the first time I dropped a turbo into 3rd gear I knew I was finished. Now I'm an addict and I don't think I can be talked out of it;-).

Center console in Artic Silver to match exterior, courtesy of Eric at Bumperplugs. This really makes the interior for me. I also got Artic bumper plugs.

DT,
Great car, and they get even better the more you drive them.
Best of luck and wishes for many years of Porsche excellence.

Congrats on your new ride. I did the exact same exercise with the 997S. No regrets. Only big, dumb *** grins .

And now its time for the mods...
