Niel:
Send me my ECU UPS RED TOMORROW. Dont email me and dont call me with an excuse. just send me my f*cking ECU, its been two weeks. I've sent 4 emails and made 4 phone calls. There wont be another one.

Collin:
If you a partner in 969 then I will get your exhaust back when i get my ECU and $950.00 and not before. Check the invoice as to the specifics of the transaction. You can call Neil to make sure he gets it back to me. If you are not a partner in 969 then I apologize. I'll be happy to talk with you about arranging a suitable resolution.

For the record: I gave it every oppurtunity to work successfully and went above and beyond the scope of our agreement in regards to the upgrade. I made it quite clear I wasnt to be a test bed for this and when things didnt work out as planned ( regardless of the reason) I gave more than ample oppurtunity for you to resolve it timely.
You take the fun out fo this hobby for me. You've turned my free time it into a job and it pisses me off.

I do not know the situation, but I wish you the best of luck bro. I hate when things like this happen and having your car sit there for weeks without an answer is unacceptable. Best of luck to you on getting this resolved in quick fashion.

Oh man. I am so lucky that I have Lucent. They have never let me, or anyone I know of, down. Arling and his team are the best!

When you are dealing with cars and enthusiasts at this level, there is very little room for error.

Eddie, good luck. I'm sure this thread will draw plenty of attention to the situation.

See what I never understand about these situations is why a company would be crazy enough to upset a well known site member. We are all enthusiasts who have spent a lot of our hard earned money on our vehicles. Word of mouth travels fast and when we are mistreated we have the ability of voicing our problems and in return killing business for the company.

The same thing works on the other side of the spectrum. There are other companies on this board that seem to always make it work out perfect and those are the ones flurishing and growing!

I guess what I am trying to say is....why would a company use poor business sense when dealing with such a tight knit group of auto enthusiasts? Kinda foolish if you ask me. Anyways best of luck again brotha!

i got my refund after a charge back and 20 phone calls but I dont have my ECU back. I was going to keep quiet but I have spent more that enough of my time on this and im tired of it. Im wasting my valuable time recover my own f**king property. WTF?<--( by the way does that look familiar)
I traded an exhaust and some cash for the pSI exhaust of Collin's, I gave the $$ upfront and was going to deliver the exhaust after I had the tips installed ( now done ) ... but now im waiting for my ECU before I deliver anything and I will want cash in my hand when I return it.
This is such BS. I feel like such an a**hole resorting to this tactic but I am not getting screwed on this , no way... no how... not today.

you sir are not an a-hole! You have given it two weeks, been curtious enough to give them their chance to make good. Your time is obviously valuable, far more than mine I am sure and no one wants to waste time chasing something while consistantly being ignored. You have every right to post this because it helps out other members when they too want to make a purchase from the specific vendor. I hope they have a sound reason for this, but as with most of these issues....they will probably try to weasle their way out of the issue

All these HORROR stories just make me want to START my own shop. (more to prove to everyone that you can have a successull/profitable business by being professional but more importantly by building solid/honest relationships with customers).

I have never understood why the BayArea has NEVER EVER had a high end car shop/tuning be successful and stay in business long enough. (excluding Sharkwerks of course ;-)

I am sure the area has a lot to do with it, but I also think you need C-level management!

I cant even speak for the quality of the product , it may be good it may not....the point is i dont really care anymore I've moved on.
I can only say that the situation wasnt handled in a reasonable way.. this has been going on since 12/9. I actually purchased a new ECU which wasnt cheap either.

Eddie, sorry to hear your problems didn't get resolved. Customer service is not Neil's strong point. Hope it all works for you.

Fred:

I had the same thought. Seriously, how hard can it be not to screw over your customers repeatedly?

To screw up once may be regarded as a misfortune, to screw up twice looks like carelessness to me.

PMac Gold Star Award for the first person to source the quote I just bastardized.
