TT is faster, even in a straight line. No comparsion.

Just such different animals, it is stupid to compare them...but you can't deny the low end torque the CLS has...very satisfying and very fast...but it is not a sports car, no sedan is.

That is great...if I didn't have a TT, I would think the CLS is faster too!

perhaps in straight line an AMG will eat some porsches for dinner. but i have yet to see a SINGLE AMG not melt down on track. engine issues, cooling prob., brakes going soft.. i can go on.

and how fast do they really want to go. most of us non racers can barely handle a 118hp stock miata.

 

I can remember scott posting waay back almost a year ago that he had had an encounter with an e55 on the freeway and he was suprised that the runs were pretty much even those cars are no slouches. As I'm sure arling and colin can say.

 

In a straight line you better watch out my sl55 will eat a lot of porsches and vettes

 

E55 is no joke from a roll, very fast for a sedan albiet not as fast as a TT with X50. With any upgraded stage on a TT you will walk the E55.

 

Unless the Benz dudes have the SL65/600/SLR/CL65, they don't have a chance against the Turbo...

 

Even with these models they still don't have a chance unless Renntech tuned.

 

Benz's are for geriactric old farts that cannot push in a clutch petal, but they come with a big mouth.

 

Who cares, 996 TT anyday over an AMG. To each his own.

 

My favorite is this guy's quote from that forum:

SL65/CL65's are beasts in the straight line, but thats about it.
