Im not talking about how it looks cosmetically, but how it looked to me on the wheel! Its about having the proper size on the stock wheel LOL.. For track tires you dont want to much tire, then the sidewall can flex even more while cornering if the sidewall is coming out wayy too far over the wheel, 315 on stock wheels is probably highly unnecessary!

The OEM 996TT wheels are 11 inches in the rear. I think you need 11.5 or 12 inch wheels in order for 315 tires to fit properly.

315/30 18 PS2 has a 10.5 to 11.5" rim range so will fit the rim, but I doubt they are going to fit without rubbing. Especially under track cornering or hard acceleration squat. Maybe someone else here can verify. At minimum you will have to roll the fenders.

Damon,

What do you think is the best street tire in terms of gripping well without being heated up. The MPSC is great once heated up, but weak at normal driving temps on the street. What tire works/grips best at normal street driving temps? The PS2?

Thanks,

Craig

PS2's are the tires you described Craig, best street tires hands down and even good on the track surprisingly

They will rub upon cornering for sure. Must roll the fender like the GT2.

315/30-18 PS2's on stock rims don't rub on my stock turbo.

Did anyone try the Pirelli Corsa System as installed on the CS and GT3RS? They look like a great compromise between street/track duties. They have GT2 sizes available now as well, as far as I know.

Arling, I recall you telling me about the Corsa. Do they need to be heated up like the Cups in order to grip well, or do the grip well at lower temps during normal street driving?

Thanks,

Craig
