Some poor SOB will get creamed on this one....

It looks like a custom ordered car that someone walked away from.

BTW, the yellow does not show well in these pictures. The dealer should take pictures outside.

That is one bad move to make that a dealer spec car.

I also bought my TT cab from Michael at Herb Chambers in Boston. My car is equipped nearly the same way except for the X50 option. The list on mine was around $147k so adding for the X50 puts it at around $165k. At $175k, I think it might include a "premium" to list.

I think it (the $10,000 above what makes sense) is part of the standard Herb Chambers Sport/Rip-off Package

Chambers is infamous for charging above premium. But some naive fool will probably buy that car.

Sam colors as mine. Mine does not have the X50. I'll do better for less with EVO but it is good to see what a SY TT Cab looks like.

I had the same thoughts about Chambers before I bought my TT cab from them and was reluctant to call them. However, Michael Fernandes is a great guy to deal with - a real straight shooter who returns your calls - and I would certainly buy (try to at least) my next Porsche from him.

I agree with ESK - if you talk to Michael Im sure he'll get that thing out of there at MSRP!!
I just hate how whoever (no names ) orders the cars there always gets sports seats with leather backs!! I think painted is so much nicer especially on a cab with the top down! At least they remebered the all exclusive options in deviating stitiching this time!! (no pun intended Eric I swear - I just asked them why they constantly forget that one)

Mansour,

I thought the same thing - at least George remembered to order all exclusive options with deviating stitching!

I think Chambers orders the cars with too many extravagant options.. I think the GT3 they have there is stickered at 130,000.. to many options.

I guess if you want a new car thats already built with lots of "fizzy bits" you just write the cheque and drive away with absolutely no 'six month plus' wait required. The only problem is the HUGE amount of money flushed down the drain when its time to resell or trade it....ouch!

Just a little update on this car. Michael Fernandes from Herb Chambers just called me. Sold it for the asking price of $175,000 - $14k over list! A guy from PA bought it last week and had to have by last Friday for his wife's birthday. She must be some woman!

Apparently the TT Cab is a "hot" car after all.
