Rotor Direction of Rotation

Rotor Direction of Rotation
This thread precipitated from a discussion in another thread and I thought I would clarify a few things.
There was some question to the direction of rotation of the rotors. According to Brembo:
"The internal vanes dictate the direction of rotation. The rotors are supposed to be oriented so that they function like a centrifugal pump. The rotation of the of the disc causes air to be pumped from the center of the disc, through the vanes, and out through the outside diameter of the disc."
The crossdrilled holes cannot be used to determine the direction of rotation. As you can see in the following two photos (front and rear), the crossdrilling is different but the internal vanes are correctly oriented.
The rotors have curved interior vanes. As an easy check for proper rotation, do this........
As viewed from the outside of the car, take one finger and place it on the bottom edge of the rotor at the 6:00 position. Slide your finger towards the rear of the car. If you feel sharp edges, they are installed correctly.
(Side note for David......I made a mistake with my comment in the other post. I forgot that I did take a second photo of the rears. The pictures above are the current setup)

After checking some more picture again, that is the right setup.
And what I find weird is why would Brembo have the crossdrilled rotors facing the opposite direction than what they do on the factory cars.
msindi: I have looked at your picture very carefully and it looks like everything is OK.

Now for some picture time.
This is what the inside of the rotor should look like. The black lines are the internal venting.

Got your PM Dave...Thanx a lot for your help.
I guess my rears are fine but I need to double check the fronts...I agreethat it is wierd how the cross drilling goes opposite to the vanes on the rears...

Thanks guys, I would like to say sorry for this big mix up. Ken you have been in my book along time ago.
I am 99.9% sure that your front are OK, but double check them anyway.

I believe if you look at the whole system it becomes clearer. You have the plastic brake shovels/deflectors that ramp air into the holes on the discs. Then look at the curve on the rim or edge of the disc. Then look at the rotation.
