I am going to be getting some body work done and am thinking of getting my front lip painted. My current lip is pretty beat up. Anyone know the differences between the c4s front lip and the turbo lip? A tiny bit more clearance would be nice. Pics would be great.

 

A lot of people have done this little change and I even used to see 996TT's on the lot with it. Some people actually prefer the look too... Fits perfectly obviously. I wouldn't do 180plus mph runs like that tho

 

So is the only difference is that it's not quite as tall as the turbo lip? Same basic shape and materials?

It doesn't have a "lip" on the bottom and the center part rises up away from the road. It's fairly similair tho

Here is my turbo with the C4S lip. It looks 10x better in my opinion and really serves its purpose if your car is lowered:

 

it mayeb just me i actually like the turbo lip over the c4s lip.

 

I agree completly. The C4S lip just looks wrong on a turbo.

Why Alex because of aerodynamics, it could change it that much ?!?

Im also buying this lip, in case my painted oem lip gets all messed up from being dropped soon, i'll have an alternative that looks very good as well

 

I have the C4S and it looks sweet. My car is slammed and it still scrapes sometimes. I wouldn't paint it because it will get thrashed. I consider these lips in the same category as wiper blades and brakes. It is disposable. If you do it, get two because you will need it.

 

I'll go with C4s lip. Looks better and works better!

 

It's also thicker and looks less cheap when you compare them side-by-side.
