Question Clutch Upgrades?

What does everyone recommend for a replacement clutch for a Stage II Turbo. I have 27k miles and the car seems fine to me with no slippage, but my mechanic took my car out, and said that when he shifted to 3rd, the car rev'ed up and there was slippage, after he released the gas, the clutch grabbed again. He said he did shift hard though.
My car is a street car, and may hopefully see some driving events this spring. Looking for everyday driveability, but some longevity. Any recommendations appreciated.

I went w/ the GT2 and couldn't be happier. Definitely has more "bite" but nothing too major. Skipped the flywheel because I didn't want the extra chatter..

Thanks Spidey! I looked at the sachs stage I. Will the lightweight flywheel make everyday driving ok. I heard they are noisy and prone to stalling alot more. Out of all of the cars I have owned, this will be the first time I ever changed a clutch..needless to say have to upgrade one. Thanks

So the GT2 is a direct replacement? How about longevity. I can and can't believe I need a new clutch at 27k miles. Was actually hoping my mechanic was just "power shifting" and mis-shifted. Not sure since after I drove her, she felt 100% fine to me.

. Yeah it's direct replacement. Has more of a racing feel to it. I had the same amount of miles on my car when I just replaced it...If that makes you feel any better

LOL...does make me feel better, but definitely not happy about it. Did you notice alot of slippage and knew you needed a clutch? I have personally never felt any slippage in any gear under wot, but just going with what my mechanic said. Like I said, this is the first time for me to change a clutch on any of my cars, so this is new to me. I tend to only keep a car a year or two max...the Turbo will be 2 soon to me...will keep this one longer though. Love it! Thanks

I would not use the GT2 kit if you are going L/W. The disc is not going to give a very good feel and can be improved to feel more like stock. If you are using a DM then that is fine.

The best packages are the ones that are put together by trial and error. I have personally used about 7 different combos and can tell you that there that procedure makes for a better solution. It also depends on if you have access to the Porsche MS stuff which we do.

Also keep in mind what the future goals are for power. You don't want to sell your self short in 6 months because you upgraded and bought too small of a clutch.

Without a doubt I felt slippage...Upgraded to K16 Hybrids and the clutch was toast almost right away. It needed to be changed but I was trying to get a couple extra miles. Regardless it works great now with the DM like Stephen said.

sachs RS and LWFW, street drivable about the same, little normal "chatter" car accelerates faster and easier to "heel toe blip" at the track.
