Instrument cluster replacement

What happens if you add a previously used cluster to your car. Will your car display the correct mileage or the mileage that the cluster already has on it (from the previous car)?

It comes from your ecu so it will show your cars mileage. i had one replaced on a gt3 and the dealer has to program it. its not a plug and play deal. carl

The 2002 instrument cluster is also self-contained-if you put a new one in, it will start from zero.

Did you buy the TURBO one on e-bay last week?

If so, you probably just want the overlay that says TURBO (like I did you rich bastard ). If so just replace your overlay with that one......not the whole cluster.

no i didn't buy it. i was just thinking in the future of swapping out a gauge cluster with white faces. this is my first porsche with black faces and it's starting to annoy me
