You are 100% correct. You take it in the *** when you buy an X50, and again when you sell it. Not a single resale book has an add for an X50, Carbon, Aluminum, Leather pkg. They are all BS options. The market, mileage and condition are the only factors when determining value. Right now the market is super soft. Buyers market BIG TIME!!!

Duane:

That may be, I too am a dealer, and $5000 for a $18000 pkg is not a great return. But the whlse books do not offer an add for X50. When I appraise X50's I do not add for the pkg. In the used market it does not have any value. Would you pay more for it?

Shank, knowing the car has been dragged regularly, I would definitely want a big discount and the dealership wasn't willing to go there. Way lower than the price they want.

LSM is right, you must find a '03 sitting on a lot. Motorwerks has a black black that they will deal on. If you need help, let me know. I'm in their good guy club after dropping $200k on them in the last month. I know the P sales manager well.

I havent heard of anyone paying an extra 5k for an x50, even if so its a poor return, the dealer and wholesaler here pay ZERO for that option as well as cosmetic options, with current values simple is the way to go.

105k for a new '03?? If you guys know where I can pick up white, arctic silver, polar silver, or blue (midnight or lapis) with black or natural gray (or natural brown, I guess) interior for $105k, LET ME KNOW!!!

I'm in CA but can make a deal with any dealer - most dealers can do leases (sorry, I have to lease for tax purposes - own my own company) in any state.

PM me or send me an email at toddfrench@***.net, or reply here. I"m not finding many '03's at the moment, and dealers aren't seeming to want to give them up for that kind of price...

This is a nice car and all Ben, but IMHO the interior just does not cut it.

I was thinking same. That interior with Seal Gray is horrible!
