Techart bumper intake slats?

Im looking into getting a TA front bumper replica and they have it with or without front splitter slats for inside the main 2 intakes. Does anyone have thoughts or pictures of the two variations? Addition of the inserts is about $400 and Im not sure it makes much difference. Advice please

You could put mesh for a fraction of that figure.

Calbobba996tt (Boris) has a seal grey with the TechArt front and I think he's just put some mesh in there. Hope he sees this and posts his impressions/pictures of what it looks like. If it was me. I'd do black.

Okay you are asking about style and personal opinions come to the fore here. For ME, I don't like the side slats much, just makes it too busy in my opinion. On the front I DO like the TechArt slats with one large caveat; on lighter colored cars like silver, red, yellow for instance. I've seen them on darker cars and I think they are hard to see and you're paying a lot of money for something that is even hard to notice.

As far as WHAT they do, nothing...they make the car look nicer if that is to your taste!

I think it is interesting to look at the purported new 997 Turbo and see that the front and side slats seem to be factory incorporated...TechArt is just down the road from Porsche AG and someone in the styling department must have liked the look.

That would be great.

I think I have decided to forego the slats for now as they can apparently be added later.
