That's awesome, my wife and I are huge road trippers, we've gone from So Cal to D.C. 3x's, covered a large majority of the east coast, and California. We've got a huge atlas that we take with us and it's amazing how much we've covered, we don't have many states left in the 48 that we haven't seen yet. We plan on doing Yellowstone this summer, along w/ Yesomite and a few others.

check out this mag, it's great for road trippers!

BTW, done route 66.

I loved Natchez Trail, have you had a chance to do the Blue Ridge parkway or Skyline Drive?

How beautiful is 95 once you enter Colorado? I about dropped jaw.

Thanks for the Magazine tip. I've been on their web site before but not in a while. Do you subscribe to their magazine?
I find one of the best sources for great roads are motorcycle sites. Perhaps the best covering the west (they have some stuff in the east) is:
http://www.pashnit.com/. For some reason guys on bikes are far more serious about the road trip then most guys in cars, and they love to take and share photos.

Yellowstone, great trip, here's a guy who came up and I think wanted to do my windows:

No, I've not done Blue Ridge (was headed there last fall, stuff got in the way) or Skyline. The road you can't miss in Colorado is 550, the Million Dollar Hghwy. For a little more obscure, but still good, 141 on the west side is very good if you have reason to be in that area. 550 you don't need a reason, you just go there!
My wife goes with me some, and sometimes my kids will take turns.

On 2, west of Leavenworth, Washington

A covered bridge across the Columbia from Astoria, Oregon

Redfish Lake with the Sawtooths behind, on 75 south of Stanley, Idaho (lot of fires then, thats why the haze) with one of my regular travelin' buddies, one of five daugthers!

Scott, here's a picture of 550 heading south into Ouray, Colorado...this is the ugly part down in the valley. You climb right up the face of the mountain ahead...then it gets spectacular!
