Check engine light on... serious hesitation when accelerating

Check engine light on... How do I locate the MAF? UPDATE
UPDATE on the 3rd page
Alright guys, have a question for you. Yesterday when driving the car, I noticed that the car bogged a little when hitting the accelerator hard. I thought it was my imagination and didn't think too much of it. My check engine light was on, but I thought it was from the stereo install I had, as they had to disconnect the battery.[/color]
I went to the dealer today to have them read the computer, and it stated that my check engine light turned on because of the "charcoal canister." From my understanding, it has something to do with emissions. He said it wasn't really a big deal and to continue driving it to see if the light would turn on again. He took off the check engine light and I was back on my way.
Big problem now though, as the car is bogging heavily. If I punch it in second, the car shakes pretty good as if it is choking. If I'm in third, it does it everyonce in awhile. I ended up driving it up and down a road for about 4 miles, stepping on the gas here and there to get it to replay the same problem, and it did continuously.
What the hell is it? The dealership didn't find anything. Could it be that charcoal thing? Or is it something worse. Could it be spark plugs? A plugged up fuel line??? I don't know.., any ideas.
Thanks,
Bojan

Thanks guys for the quick advice. I'll check the MAF before I spend money at the dealership.
Please tell me where it is and if its difficult to clean. A pic would be great.
Thanks guys, I appreciate it! Oh and Jags, I got the Eclipse to work today.. :-)

Where is the MAF
Sorry guys for the multiple questions, but its sunny here in Seattle and I have the day off. Please help me, my heart is hurting not being able to drive her around in the first sunny day in months.
Where and how do I locate the MAF. And when I do, how exactly do I clean it? I understand I need an electrical cleaner..., but how do I go about cleaning and getting to it?
Thanks... I'm desperate to get this done today. The dealership will rob me, and they can't take me in until Monday next week.... when the rainy season begins again.

Okay, thanks to Seh1 I was able to locate and clean the MAF w/ an electrical cleaner. The results... the same. Car has the exact same problem as before.
I checked all the hoses under the car, no problem there.
So am I to assume that it is either the spark plugs or the fuel filter. I was considering replacing both this coming weekend. Or do you guys just suggest I take the car to the dealer and get it over with... and get reamed on the labor charges?????
Thanks again,
Bojan

Have you hooked up your scanner and looked at what the sensors are doing when this hesitation happens. Seems to me, that would have been the first thing to do. It should pop right out at you if there is a plug problem or problem with the fuel.
