My god that car/concept is sick! A 800++HP GT3....with THAT kind of power, in a lightweight narrow body C2 GT3 chassis...talk about the ultimate highway roll-on sleeper!

Kudos Todd, Stephen et. al.- you guys have really come into your own, and it's been fun to watch. You guys are VERY deserving of your success, and I hope you have many, many years of it!

That said, didn't someone do a turbo conversion on a GT3 or cup car only to have the car get T-Boned at the track at its first outing? I imagine that the turbo conversion would be easier on the race car than on the street-legal one.

AJ,

Do you have any more specific info on this? Maybe the race/race group or track where and when this might have happened?

The GT3 is built on the stiffer C4 chassis.

just curious why do this turbochrage the gt3 motor why not get the gt2 motor and modify that it wold be simplier and more logical to do this, by turbocharging the gt3 motor your changing the total chracteristics of the "na" motor...

it is a cool thing to do... but just wondeirng why?? im a big turbo fan but imho i think the gt3 motors hould be left alone...

As for the turbo motors, and gt2 motors... they need to be modded hehehe

Adding all that weight in the back of a car that doesn't need it at all.

The GT3 crank is superior (stronger)to the turbo/GT2 crank. The heads have larger ports and valves. The cams are vastly different and the cam housings and liner hold downs are stronger. The valve train is lighter and the lifters are designed to take more rpm's.

Very true. Special rods and cam selections is the key for success.
CJV,
What's your thought on the parts listed for this project.
