Need advise lowering my 996 Turbo

Hello,
I need advise on how to lower my 996 Turbo a liitle. Maybe OEM 996GT2 stance will look good although I parked next to a GT2 and it was too low for my taste.
I've seen some GT2 lower than others, maybe they have different specs for different years or maybe US cars are not as low as RTW cars...
Thanks

You can't go wrong with PSS10s - good all around and the height is decent.

I'd recommend the Ohlin R&T over PSS10's, i replaced my PSS10's with them and couldn't be happier

that said, what's your budget?

I read about PSS-10 and as I undestand the minimun drop is 1", I was thinking dropping the car 3/4".

Can you drop a 996 Turbo without changing any parts ? I think I read somewhere (I think it was the owner's manual) that there is a bolt you can adjust the height a little ?

Negatory on the height adjustment without parts. From what i have read the Ohlins are preferred for their ability to be adjusted to a higher ride height. The PSS10s have a very specific height range that if violated do not handle well? I went with H&R springs and B8 shocks and i am OK with them. Ended up really low and needed custom spacers to get up to GT2 height for my liking. Wish i had spent more and gotten the Ohlins.

+1 - They say PSS10 is adjustable, but really they are not. There is only one setting that work. - Max high in rear, max low in front (or vice versa - I don't remember).

No budget. I've had the car for almost 20 years and counting, so I better be ultra happy with it. I think the proper height will make a huge difference to me.
I just don't want to go too low because the car looks "tired, old". I want to achieve a bit higher than a GT2 and a little lower than a Turbo.

that would be the approximate of the x73 setup at -20mm or ROW height. the gt2 is probably -30mm.

the car at gt2 height does not look "old". it looks and rides as good as it gets. it's only our tired eyes ( or old sagging springs ) that play tricks.

you might consider thirdreef's suggestion of b8's and h&r sport springs for lowering and perfectly capable stability. he claims to wish for more. i wish for nothing in the handling/stance department with that set.

How much lower is the max height for the PSS10 compared to the stock height?

About 1 Inch. The new ride height is about perfect - not too low, not too high - If it were more adjustable, I would make it the same height anyway.

this... if you are just looking for a drop and don't need the adjust-ability... a set of springs and shocks will do it...

H&R springs with some bilstein B8 are a tried and true combo...
