Fatter Steering Wheel

Thinking about changing the steering wheel. Is this a do it yourslef/local shop deal or does the airbag complicate things?

Anyone recommend a wheel? It has to be airbag compliant.

u can always re-warp the leather or suede. just don't go too thick on the spoke area where the airbag connects the wheel.

steering wheel change

disconect the battery, 2 screws on the back of the steering wheel, either torx or allen I can't remember, the airbag will be loosen, becarefull as you remove the airbag as it is connected by a small plug. Then you have access to the large nut holding the steering wheel. The airbag light may illuminate after you reconnect the battery or it may not. If on just take it to dealer and they will reset it.

FVD and Carnewal have a nice slection of smaller diameter steering wheel with airbag.

Or you can send your's to www.aglausa.com for custom wrapping.

I used Alan Gun and was only some what satisfied with the quality of work. If you do decide to go down this route I would buy a used wheel off Ebay so if you don't like it you can put your stock one back on.
