And looking at the pic in the for sale section vs. Champions website, this is the old 1 piece design.

tubi or not tubi

Had an early version tubi on my 2002 tt. Awesome sound at high rpm's, and great revenge to my noisy neighbor on morning startup. After three months, freeway speeds with the windows up did me in and am currently back to stock. Loved it half the time and hated it half the time, so it's good for strong emotions.

I have a Tubi on my 360 Spider and it is the best exhaust sound I have ever heard. I never got around to changing the exhaust on my tt cab, so I can't really compare. But on the f car, the tubi at low rpm's roars and at high rpm's sounds more like what we are used to hearing at the track - at speed.

Now I have to think about my Mini - sounds too ordinary. I had Abarths on my original Mini Cooper S and they sounded terrific, especially on that midget car.

The link to the sound clip of the Tubi on a 996TT no longer works. Anyone have a copy they would be willing to share? I'm looking at a 2005 996TT that has a Tubi exhaust installed. I'm going to ASSume it is Gen 2 since the car is a 2005.

Thanks,
Andrew
