I actually do not have a light weight flywheel...but when I do upgrade my clutch it is in the works.
Thanks, and I will try exactly what you said and see it it helps. Funny you mention about focusing on a problem and making it worse.....I think I do that exactly. Whenever I am sitting in a long line of cars at a light I put the car in neutral with the clutch pedal not engaged. If I am fumbling with my ipod and someone honks at me to go, I always engage and go perfectly.

I think they call it "performance anxiety" and we all experience at times.

Jezz and your info is on the web too. I think this is a little uncalled for. My point is you have an opinion and there are thousands of those out there (just like a**holes, everybodies got one)...who's to say you are right, (or wrong)? NO ONE!

I personally leave my car in gear for short lights, but when I have a longer wait I'll shift it into neutral...been doing this for 30 years and never had a clutch or synchro go bad.

And I have been competitively driving for more than 35 years, rebuilding engines, tranny's etc and never had a clutch or related parts go bad as a result of keeping the car in gear at all times. Doing so, however, does have many benefits, such as safety and allows for the transmission fluid to cool down and defoam during those few minutes. My point is, there is NO reason NOT to keep the car in gear at all times. Putting in neutral does not necessarily cause a problem either, but WHY would anyone do it? I could see doing it if you are trying to hold down a 4000 pound clutch, but a TT is hardly difficult.
