I know an owner who has had his new Z06 at speed, says it's perfectly stable, keep in mind, he also owns a turbo so he's not trying to sway from one side to the other.
And still waiting to see the 490 whp dyno you say the Z06 is putting down. You keep yapping but when people call you out on stuff you don't seem to answer

As far as 'heavily modded' thats not what i meant. let me clarify. i meant that the suspension was modded and that it had drags. drags would be better because youre gonna have better grip. how is that even a question? other than that i didnt say it had exhaust, heards, mids, cats, etc, so dont put words in my mouth. i dont know if this is what u meant but it certainly seemed like it. i only meant suspension and radials.

They do have better grip in the 1/4, but not on this 8min road course.

And again, don't know why they'd use "drag radials" on a race track, maybe R-compound tires, but you don't see those on the drag strip. And again, no one has seen or proven that the car was using "special" tires. I'm just curious if you have, because that'd be news for 100% of the population. You make it sound like you have information the rest of the public doesn't.
I'd love to see the autobahn thread where you saw 490 stock. As mentioned before, that was the car w/ just long tubes. The cars are laying down 430-450 rwhp stock, the same GT2 owners on this board have seen. Which btw, is rated at 30HP less then the Z06

I dont think the vette was stock when it ran the ring, it's suspension was dittled with and there was "talk" of not regular street tires.
Either way does it really matter to Porsche lovers, no. At least not to me, I would rather look into my garage and see my GT2 than a vette anyday no matter how well it performs. And I really would like to see a modded vette take on Craigs monster or Markski's beast when its done.

There are also a # of turbo owners w/ Z06's on the vette board who also seem to be completely satisfied w/ their additions. But comment that the cars drive completely different, which isn't suprising going from a Rear engine RWD/AWD car to a front/mid engine RWD car. Basically have to learn how to drive all over again
But as mentioned, you still have to give a bunch of respect to it for bringing what it brings to the table w/ a 65K price tag. But also have to realize that there is a reason the GT2, etc have a higher price tag, whether slower or not.

well then how do you know it's not porsche like Z06 and C6 are completely different beasts, the suspension geometry alone is pretty different.

I am sure the Z06 is to the C6 what the GT2 is to the 996 Turbo, I have driven 3/4 of the cars listed in this post so I think I have a pretty good idea. Like I said, I was impressed with the C6, I am sure the Z06 is way more impressive!

you're not gonna make people like Z06s over 996TTs esp. 997TTs... it's the same reason people choose 997 and 997S over a regular C6.. why would it be different at the next level.. 997TT vs C6Z06 ?

In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed burying the two C6Z I have encountered, so far.
