Ordered some aluminum pedals

Had a question about installing these pedals. I assume you have to remove the oem rubber pedals before installing the aluminum ones. Also since I have to drill them in, is this pretty easy to do? First time for me to do pedals.

Mine are on the way as well (second set) and, as I understand it, drilling the oem is a PIA...just because it is tight quarters. Also recommend using a corded drill. Remove the rubber also (very easy). Here is an instruct:

it's not hard. Just get a good bit for metal, and a corded drill.

here's a pic of my techart pedals from a few years ago...

Hey Maxwell, when your shoes are wet, are they slippery at all? I bought the ebay ones with the rubber nodules all over them so they would not be slippery. I had an S2000 years ago, and they got very slippery when my shoes were wet.

alum pedals

If you go with the rubber studs you don't have to worry about slipping.....

as for the installation; it was a 'piece of cake'....... my son did it!

Not hard to do. Carefully mark the location of the holes. Get a good quality metal bit. With a corded drill use firm, even pressure. Be patient, it takes a while to get through the pedal.

Why so much emphasis on a corded drill? I only own a Dewalt 18v cordless. I assume the torque has something to do with it? Thanks.

Mine are pictured below. This was a PIA due to tight quarters and not buying a TITANIUM bit right away for the brake pedal (the other two are easier). The corded drill motor works better because its smaller.

The biggest problem is lining up the pedals and marking the holes. I used a C clamp and paint stick. Take your time, because I see so many installed crooked it drives me crazy.

I bought the pedals that say Turbo.....why buy anything else

Hey Shark01, thanks for the pic. I looked at some similiar ones to yours, but was more concerned about my shoes slipping on them (no rubber stubs). I tend to wear leather bottom dress shoes to work, and was worried if they were wet, they would slip off the pedal. I do like the Turbo insignia on them though.

M3CAB,

the techart pedals are textured kind of like diamond plating, so I've never had any slipping problems. There's quite a lot of grip.
