They trap at 126-127 mph bone stock, too. What can a RT12 w/ 560 bhp trap? 0-100? 150?
Don't know how long you have been on these boards but RUF ALWAYS underrates his cars. Many of their cars dyno at the wheels what they stated the hp rating was for the package. i.e a 560hp will actually dyno close to, if not on top of 560. Wouldn't surprise me to see the RUF 650 dyno at 650 whp given they are getting times of 11 flat with the car in the 1/4 mile.

Funny how the Z06 has become the car to measure your performance against for some insecure Porsche owners. "Mine is bigger than yours syndrome", I guess.

I believe the 11.6 # of Motor Trend (C&D ran it a bit slower than that) for the Z06. That is with one that put out 453 whp. With DR #'s is a bit confusing, then put DR's on the RUF & it would be lower than 11 flat again. Stock for stock the Z06 is really around a Mid 11 vehicle, which is still pretty amazing but would be quite a bit slower than a RUF 650 (.5 sec.+). It's in Enzo territory (just a bit faster than the Carrera GT).

And there have been others that have done 470. Not the norm, but they are out there.

11.0 flat for a RUF 650 while a bone stock C6 Z just went 11.37@127 bone stock on runflats.

Seriously, some of you guys have to drive this car to understand and appreciate it. We all know it doesn't have the build quality of a Porsche, and I agree. But, when it comes to performance, it WILL take a 560 bhp RUF to make it a close race.

I agree. A lot of insecurities floating around. I say give the car props and move on. Reminds me of the Viper guys. No one is in more denial than they are. Come guys, loosen up. GM did a great job on this car. Just give it props, move on, and enjoy your awesome Porsches.

Yeah, this fight has gone both ways and it's getting old, and many obnoxious folks on both sides are spewing inaccurate statements. C6Z in many ways beats 996 and 997 Turbos. So what? The Porsches, which are a 9 year-old design, in many ways still hold their own. So do 993s, C5 and C4 vettes and ZR1s all ad nauseum. And I'll bet someone has a C3 or 964 that can whoop on any of the other stock cars.

All of these cars are faster than the dorks that drive them. Enjoy!

I don't think anybody here is dispelling the speed of this car. We all know that it is fast as hell.

The mags have run it at 11.6@126.6/11.8@125 (in the same R&T magazine where they listed the Ruf 650 with a 11 flat@133.9, they had a Z06 run a 12.2@120.7. Someone might have gotten 11.37, but that could just as easily mean somebody runs a RUF 650 in the 10's, but not for the magazines. For those particular conditions (which were not listed) they ran that time. I really am not too much of a fan of when people talk about a particular low time that they have seen. In the particular test the Ford GT was .1 sec. faster, in another test the Carrera GT was .1 sec faster than the Ford GT, and the RUF tested is even faster than the Porsche GT. Doesn't mean much to say a car is around .4 or .6 sec. slower than another car. Would be interested to see what the 997 TT will run, & when the Turbo S comes out what will happen but this is all theoretical.

There is not a BONE STOCK C6 ZO6 PRODUCTION SOLD CORVETTE THAT WILL DYNO AN HONEST 470RWHP.

Holy exageration Batman!!!

BONE STOCK (a term that has been so skewed nowadays as to have multiple meanings in multiple languages) a C6 ZO6 will dyno 430 to 455 rwhp.

Dyno tricks are a lovely thing

Only the top 1% of driver's will get a BONE STOCK C6 ZO6 into the low 11's on factory run-flats. Most average driver's will get low 12's high 11's.

Depending on track conditions, weather, torque management they trap 122 to 126 with the occaisional freaks.

The ZO6 has a tiny cam, GREAT high-flowing heads, and mediocre stock headers.

The torque management on the C6 Corvette's (yes, the ZO6 too) is OVERLY protective. Timing is retarded tremendously when the motor starts to get hot.

One of the reasons why there is such a discrepancy in trap speeds on back to back runs by the same driver on the same day.
