RT12 vs 06 ZO6
#2
i think that the RT12 could take the Z06 in a striaght line from a dig if it is the 4wd version it might start falling behind as speeds increase and traction is no longer an issue. Also, in cornering i think that the advantage might have to go the Z06. IN "bad-***" factor i would say that the RT12 wins by a long shot.

There are three different engines available for Porsche RUF RT12. Actually all three versions have the very same engine but some modifications gives different power output: 530 HP, 560 HP and 650 HP. You can also get RWD or AWD versions of these models.
The 560 and 650hp versions would eat up a C6 Z06. The 530hp version would be a lot closer given that the Z06's hp seems to be under rated.

I concur with Ruiner,
takes a good (HONEST 560+) to beat the Z06 due
to weight disadvantage.
Z06 is an amazing car--wow what performance and "reasonable
quality" for a good price. And yes the interior is lame...

Ruf Rt12
I am reading out of the RUF catalogue.
The Rt12 comes with 530, 560 and 650 hp.
And the RUF website says the same thing.
http://www.ruf-automobile.de/content...ahr=&details=1
I have driven the Rt12 650 hp.
I was there when Road & Track tested it.
They did 0-100 km/h in 3.15 secs and 0-200 km/h in 9.7 seconds.
Qrtr mile in 11.0 @ 216 km/h. V Max > 350 km/h
Pirelli P Zero Rosso street tires.
Front: 255/35/ZR19 Rear: 305/30/ZR19
The Z06 is an impressive car. However in a straigh line it has NO chance.
0-100 km/h = 4,0 sec., 0-200 km/h = 12,0 seconds, V Max = 320 km/h
But the Z06 can turn, unless they cheated with the tires

They trap at 126-127 mph bone stock, too. What can a RT12 w/ 560 bhp trap? 0-100? 150?

According to RUF the 530 hp will do 0-100 km/h in 3,7 secs. (0-62 mph)
The 560 hp does it in 3,6 secs.
Always hard to guess without more facts, but the RUF would probably win but not by much. 650 hp - another story!
The old RUF R Turbo 520 hp trapped 11.9 secs @ 122.7 mph
0-60 in 3.8 secs.

The following is merely an observation, devoid of malice, and not intended to disparage anyone. The Porsche community appears to be giving a considerable amount of attention to the C6 ZO6, citing the ZO6 as a benchmark for comparison, and opining as to how certain Porsches would fair against the ZO6. More so than other new cars. Nothing wrong with such discussions, and I am among the those who are genuinely impressed with the C6 ZO6. Nevertheless, I question whether there are subconscious motives/reasons underlying the considerable attention paid to the C6 ZO6 by this community. I am not qualified to answer this question and I will not speculate as to what is going on below the surface, but the heightened attention is palpable.
