what does stage 4 mean?
#3
it is a level of tuning that bumps the HP to 600+
take a look at the Evo website.

Realistically, do not expect 600 Horsepower.
Expect in the 550 range and a very fast car.
This is my opinion only.
Reasoning: Stage 4 will not keep up with RUF 590 Nardo,
and will not kill a Z06 with 505 Horsepower (yes I know weight
and gearing are different--but 600 real hp will "take care of Z06")

Stage 4 will yield apx 500-520 peak to the wheels. TQ will be apx the same. You will need exhaust and other components in place. If someone would like dyno sheets from both DynoJets and my Mustang let me know. I can provide them or email them.
We were the first to run the stage 4 on a TT back in the day. Stage 4 was created before I even picked my car up. It was great. A week later it is all apart and on the dyno. Nevertheless in a GT2 is a blast.

Yes, pump gas (92 oct in WA) I have an EVO stage 4 on my X50, haven't dyno'd it yet. I'll tell you it goes like a bat out of hell! much, much faster than stock in all gears. Check out www.evoms.com They have a lot of info and dyno's posted. I'm very happy

I have to agree with Woodster on this one. Six hundred hp sounds great, but somehow you just can't use "crank" hp, so why even mention it. Most of the time when I talk about hp I mean rear wheel hp. Now a days, you just have to ask the question to obtain a meaningful answer.
In addition you have DIN, SAE Standard and SAE 1990 Revised. Without knowing what standard is being used these numbers can vary up to 20%. Taking it a bit further the numbers can vary depending on gear used and weather or not the measurement is "the best run" or the fourth or fifth consecutive run.
You take someone like Manthey and Ruf to a lesser extent who rate their power using the conservative approach and it is no wonder many people say their ponies are bigger. What we really need is a standardized proceedure for measurement.

Stage 4 is the 4th level of tuning. You should find out who did the tuning on the GT2. I had an awd turbo with stage 4, and it put 512HP to the wheels. Thats just over 600HP. If you're buying a GT2, then you should ask questions on who did the tuning. A Stage 4 EVO is more productive than a Stage 4 FVD. (no flamming to FVD, just personal experience)

Who cares about what the numbers say on paper. Stock vs stock I have no problem running with the new Z06's at the track (road racing). Stage 4 GT2 will toast the Z's for sure.
I think the best meaurement of performance is using AX22 going form 30mph-130mph, ect..

Why I say what I believe
Sharkey,
We have spoke before, this is ONLY MY OPINION, nothing more.
GIAC is fantastic product. Stage 4 is a very potent package,
without question. I have not driven, raced, ridden in one, etc.
or ran one on my dyno. There is only one in my town that I know
of (Hockey player for the Minnesota Wild). My basis for my
opinion is partly published quarter mile times (ex. EVOMS Stage 4
of Renntechv12 ran a 11.78 before going to his GT700+ kit)
My basis also comes from just learning/discussion/observation
of what parts are included in kits, what are the "stated horsepowers",
and what is actual documented performance. This observation
is not directed at or limited to any Company. This is not to be considered
gospel or anything other than an enthusiast's opinion. I like many
plan on getting an AX-22 this summer and doing some "testing from
the northland"
