So who makes a cat bypass and whats if any dangers are there of bypassing the cats?

Also who makes a muffler bypass and what are the benifits of it?

Ok plain and simple.. FVD makes race pipes (straight pipes off the turbo replacing muffler and cats) and they make cat bypass pipes that you cna use with muffler bypass , oem or aftermarket exhaust (a la my setup)

Now muffler bypass pipes can be used with oem cats, race cats or cat bypass as well, it woill be a bit quieter, different tone then a straight through pipe and will not flow as good i dont think as a straight single pipe, but not enought o notice a diff.

Evoms and Fabspeed also sell muffler bypass pipes, they are both pretty much similar

How much are FVD's race pipes? You got a link to see the pictures?

I was just looking at FVD website and the race pipes are ideal BUT they say you need FVD ecu programming to avoid CELs. How is this possible for someone who has a gt700 car, because I aleady have giac software?

Mine is a one off and I do not know what it would cost to replicate. Call Fast Intentions: (818) 882-2788 -- ask for Danny or Tony. There are skilled exhaust specialists.

Hmmm . . . thats more than I would have guessed. They currently do not have a jig and, therefore, they must custom fabricate each unit from scratch, just as they did for me -- thats takes a considerable amount of time (madrel bends of 3 in 304 steel in tight quarters are not easy). If anyone is genuinely interested, I can make a call and try get the price reduced a bit. Moreover, if more than one person is interested, the per unit price will almost certainly go down.

I have the fabspeed 100cell cat and straight pipe. I initially wanted just a straight pipe but did not want the CEL which is what you will get without a cat unless you reflash your ECU.
My car sounds awesome and turbos spool noticeably faster, also can see the red hot inside of the cats.
Entire set up looks stock from the back, cause you use your old tips. the entire deal with install cost me $2500 and one broken turbo bolt.
